The team

Meet the team at Mohair.

A strong team, a clear point of view and a shop built around doing the work properly. That has been the idea since Mohair opened its doors.

From Tony’s original vision through to the day-to-day atmosphere in the shop now, Mohair has always been about staying fresh, positive and aiming to be the best salon in Glasgow.

Professionalism / development / good energy
Still the point

Founder

Tony Wright

Tony started Mohair in 2004 after years of studying and working across ladies and gents hairdressing, with a clear idea that modern men’s hair needed something new.

Since opening the doors he has trained and employed some of Scotland’s best talent, with the shop always pushing professionalism, development and fresh work rather than standing still.

That same drive still shapes Mohair now: keep it positive, keep it sharp and aim to be the best salon in Glasgow.

Stylist
Chris

Chris

Chris comes from a long line of hairdressers and fine-tuned his barbering skills before heading back west. He brings strong technical work, a good laugh and the kind of energy that suits Mohair perfectly.

In his own words, west is best, and the best part of the job is seeing customers happy when they leave the chair.

The Mohair way

Growing and learning stays at the heart of it.

The idea has never been to sit still. Fresh and current looks, strong barbering roots, a relaxed atmosphere and work that holds up once you leave the shop.

In memory

Steve McDonald.

Mohair still carries a lot of love for Steve McDonald. He was remembered on the team page as a fabulous whirlwind of a man, an incredible barber and a great friend. He is not forgotten.

Our condolences remain with Steve’s family, his nearest and dearest, and everyone who knew him.
